Serving the Lord through the ministry of the church is both the responsibility and privilege of every believer. Central United Methodist Church supports others in many areas, and we encourage each person to participate in this means of grace and blessing to others - and to discover that serving the Lord is also a means to draw closer to Him and His people.

Adult Respite (Temporarily Suspended)

Adults are offered a place to socialize, play games, and work on crafts or other activities. Assistance is available for those in need.

Homebound Communion

For members of our church family who are unable to join us for communion the first Sunday of each month, arrange-ments can be made to provide the sacrament in their home, along with pastoral visits.  If needed, meals can also be coordinated.

First Tuesday of the Month, 2pm

Working with Cargill Kitchen Solutions of Lake Odessa and Feeding America, the Fresh Food truck provides food for families in need.

Your contributions to Central have regional, national, and international impact through our connectional giving system. Most of the mission donations support local ministries such as Habitat for Humanity of Ionia County, Manna's Market, area shelters and food pantries. A portion funds regional ministries or emergencies such as the Northwest Detroit flood recovery and Flint water crisis. Other funds support global ministries such as Heifer Int'l and a missionary in Zambia.

Mission Trips are typically scheduled bi-annually where our teens and adults travel to an area of the country where they serve someone in need. Usually building and painting, the program is through a national organization so youth from many churches around the country are represented. Bible study and worship each evening are an integral part of the experience.

Located on the main street of downtown Lake Odessa, our church is open and involved in many community events throughout the year from Easter egg hunts to fall festival and Christmas 'Round the Town.  Also . . .
